The .info is a generic top-level domain and was introduced in 2001. The INFO domain comes from Information and was intended for informational websites. INFO is an unsponsored TLD and can be used by everybody for any purpose. The registry operating the domain is Afilias which is a US Corporation. Currently, there are over 3 million .info domains registered.

 

Requirements for registering a .info domain

At first, there were some restrictions on registering a .info domain name. However, the TLD can be now registered by anyone, both commercial and non-profit organizations without any restrictions or requirements. The .info is also one of the domain extensions which we offer. You can register a domain with that TLD from our Domain Manager or our domain registration page.
